Celebrating the Life of Eileen Su Stafford
We announce with deep sadness that Eileen Su Stafford passed last year on November 26th, 2023. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and friend to all whose lives she touched. She left us while sleeping peacefully at the house she grew up in San Bruno, California. She was in her 72nd year, and born on June 16th, 1951, in Gary, Indiana. Daughter of Robert Samuel Steen Jr., Nadine Elinor Dunham and later through marriage her second Father Norman Ernest Dunham. She was the eldest of three children and had two brothers, Robbie Steen and Craig Dunham.
She moved out to California when she was eight years old when her mother remarried. She graduated from Crestmore High School in San Bruno, California. One of her first jobs was with AT&T as a telephone switchboard operator connecting calls and she then grew with the company along the way into management. She married her husband Lloyd in 1970 when she was nineteen years old and resided in Redwood City, California. She raised two children Heather and Ricky and was heavily involved in their schooling, extracurricular activities and taking family trips. As a mom, she went back to school and graduated with a bachelor's degree from University of Phoenix in Business Management. In addition, she worked as yard duty for her son's school, property management companies and in the office at a local trades union. She had recently celebrated 53 years of marriage with her husband Lloyd Stafford. A few of her interests were love of travel, taking photos, jewelry, 49ers football, and of course her family.
Su was preceded in death by her mother, Nadine Elinor Childers in 2007, both of her fathers, Robert Samuel Steen Jr. in 1999, and Norman Ernest Dunham in 2021. As well as both of her brothers, Robert Samuel Steen III, a.k.a. Robbie in 1979, and Craig Dean Dunham in 1993. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Richard Stafford, and two children, Heather Anne Stafford and Richard Scott Stafford.
Services were held on Sunday January 14th, 2024, at 1pm at Skylawn Memorial located at CA-35 Highway 92, San Mateo, California. Reception was at the Skylawn Vista Room followed by a release of doves in her honor. We love and miss you bunches! XOXO
