Eleanor was my guardian angel for three semesters at Sonoma State as I was completing my BA (1980-1982). She saw something in me and helped me to design as much independent study as possible, allowing me to pursue my interests in the intersection of ontology, psychology, and the body.
She was always full of dignity, grace, and strength. Very kind. Very private.
I just found out she had made her transition last year.
I was attempting to get in touch with her to send her a copy of a book I just finished.
Eleanor, God Bless You ... and thank you for always believing in me.
Namaste!

Eleanor was one of the most remarkable women I have ever known. She was not only brilliant, but also wise and humble, and a true healer...of humans and non-humans alike.
She was such a bright light in this world. Her presence will be sorely missed.

Eleanor significantly impacted my physical therapy approach to helping people. Hanna Somatics has become a critical component in understanding and helping people, especially with chronic pain. I remember Eleanor as a very precise and articulate thinker, yet equally kind and generous. She was very patient with me as I transformed my thinking about pain. Both she and the Hanna Somatics course have changed me forever. Thank you Eleanor!

This is such sad news. I had the privilege of taking her Somatic Yoga training several years back and was truly inspired by her. She was a fantastic teacher trainer and a very kind, gentle soul.
From this obituary i learned things about her I didn´t know and recognize that she made extraordinarily good use of the life she was given and leaves behind a great legacy with her somatic work and more
