Eleanor Glosser Obituary

Eleanor "Judy" Glosser
passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, at the age of 86. Judy was the beloved wife of Fred Glosser for 64 years. She was the loving mother and the biggest fan of her three sons and daughters-in-law: Rick(Connie), Jeff (Adriana) and Brad (Andrea). Judy was the proudest grandmother of her eight grandchildren: Jenny, Mandy, Aly, Christian, Cameron, Theone, Max, and Jaxon. She is also survived and loved by her brother, Tom Thomas (Amy).
Judy was a proud fifth generation San Franciscan. She attended Commodore Sloat, Aptos Junior High School, Lincoln High School, and San Francisco State. She was an elementary school teacher for 20 years in the San Francisco and Pacifica school districts.
Judy loved the movies and spending summers in Kauai with family and friends. As a dancer/performer growing up, Judy also loved visiting Broadway in New York and singing in the St. Peters' choir.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Duggan's Serra Mortuary in Daly City. Friends may visit with family from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., and the service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Our condolences to Fred, Rick, Jeff and Brad. The first time I met Judy, she immediately said to me "You must be the other woman in Fred's life." and we both started laughing. I was lucky enough to visit them in Kauai and we spent half the day shopping and talking about teaching and the joy she had for her students. I was so happy when Fred and Judy agreed to be Matthew's godparents. She dotted on him as if he was her own. Judy loved her three boys and all of her grandchildren so much. She will be truly missed but her spirit lives on with Fred, her sons and grandchildren. Mary Ann, Marie, Sarah and Matthew Paul

Barb and I have great memories of a great lady, wife, Mom and Grandma. Judy and Fred invited us to share a few vacations with them in Kauai, and a couple of trips when we worked in the NFL. I also had the pleasue to work with her father Bill in the SFFD! When you look at the finest family "stock" in the Glosser's, you would have to look far and wide to to find a more honorable and proud family. God Bless you Judy, and thank you for making our world a better place.
