Euclid Sperow Obituary

Euclid James Sperow

Euclid James Sperow 3/13/31-3/21/20. Beloved father, family man, and patriarch. He was a jovial, magnanimous, and helpful friend to all. He was born in SF in the Bayview to Greek immigrant parents. He served in the US Navy. Like his father and brothers, he became a lifelong licensed barber owning his own shop in the Sunset for 20+ years while enjoying remodeling and real estate on the side. A self-made man, Uke turned his vocation into a second profession when he earned his contractor's license in his 40s and established Sperow Construction – a license he continued to use until he obtained his last building permit a week before his passing. Survived by 2 daughters Janice & Sandra Sperow, 3 siblings, Anthony Sperow, Angeliki Sperow-Trujillo, and Basil Sperow; 2 grandchildren, Jack & Lucille Sperow, and a huge, loving Greek family. Celebration of life will be scheduled when COVID-19 dissipates. For information, contact the family. Always the host and life of the party, he will be deeply missed.

I loved Uke and of course his late wife Rosie. My mom Jane Chilcote and her husband Bob Chilcote were very good friends with them both. They moved from Pennsylvania to Daly City and thats how they met. They all had a great time together and Uke was always the life of the party. I was only around them a couple of times since we lived so far away, but the times I did spend with them were priceless! Uke could put you in a good mood no matter how down you were. He was a very kind and thoughtful man. My mother & Bob cherished the friendship they had with Uke & Rosie. Uke loved his family, his two daughters were his pride and joy! Now Uke, Rosie, Jane and Bob are up in Heaven dancing and enjoying each others company again. My Sympathies to the entire Sperow family, he will be missed! Janice and Sandra I’m so sorry, he loved you girls very much! Sincerely, Rose Clair (Jane’s Daughter from Pennsylvania)

Beautiful obituary. My heart goes out to Janice, Sandra and our entire Greek family. Uncle Euc will forever be in my heart and I can still see his smile and hear his words of wisdom.

My uncle Euc was an amazing man. His kindness, genuine interest in others and loving nature will be missed. His guidance and belief in 'family' will live on through all of us. We will love him and carry him with us for all eternity.

I would like to add my condolences to the Sperow family. I met Euc a few times when he visited his brother Tony's barber shop on Noriega. I was a customer for over 30 years. A very nice guy just like his brothers.

Sincerest good wishes to you all during this difficult time.
