Ezio went home to be with his Father in Heaven on October 19, 2024. Ezio was born in Torino, Italy on April 17, 1951, to Angelo and Domenica Pirlo. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant baby sister, Maria Consolata. Survivors are his brother, Sergio Pirlo and wife Frances; and sister Maria Caracciolo; nieces Angela Viviani and husband Gary; Lisa Del Santo and husband Michael; nephews Dale Pirlo and Eric Caracciolo; and several great-nieces and great-nephews; Adriana, Isabella and Daniella Caracciolo; Michael Del Santo and Mireille Del Santo; Evan Pirlo and Evanna Pirlo.
Ezio's great sense of humor and quick wit surprised everyone since most of the time he was quiet and reserved. He was a genuine polite gentleman, soft-spoken and mild mannered with a positive demeanor, always saying "thank you" to anyone who helped him along the way. A very kind gentle spirit who will be missed dearly. Ezio was one of a kind, an amazing man, son, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed life.
He graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco, excelling in Mathematics, then worked as a stadium porter, selling souvenirs and programs at Candlestick Park during the S.F. 49ers football games and the S.F. Giants baseball seasons.
He is now free from pain, secured from misery, and in the arms of GOD.
In lieu of flowers or donations, please honor Ezio's life by making a gesture of kindness to another person. Nothing could be a more fitting tribute to his legacy and life that Ezio lived than to make the world a little better place, even in the simplest of ways, as he was a very simple man. He was a wonderful brother, unique on this earth.
Ezio was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma. A private Celebration of Life in his memory will be planned soon.
