Florence L. Fowler

Florence L. Fowler died peacefully at home, on February 20, 2024. She was 91.
Born June 3, 1932, in Berkeley, Calif., to William Berridge and Frances LaVerne Ludlow, Florence had one sibling, the late Lt. William B. Ludlow, Jr.
Florence completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. She later earned a master's degree from San Francisco State University.
After raising a family with her former husband, the late Rev. Richard P. Fowler, Florence worked as a librarian at San Francisco University High School and Shriners Hospital.
Florence is survived by her children, Kathryn Fowler (Laine Wallace), Richard Fowler (Will Sprietsma), and Elisabeth Kenneally (Stephen); grandsons, Ian and Nicholas Kenneally; several godchildren, and dear friends.
Florence's generous and curious spirit, artistry, and grace will be missed by all who knew her.
Per Florence's wishes, a memorial service and Interment will be private. Special thanks go to the personnel of At Home Caregivers and Continuum Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the California State Parks Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, San Francisco Marin Food Bank, or UNICEF USA.

I am so sorry to hear about Florence's passing. She was a kind and empathetic member of the UHS community, amongst students and adults alike, and I will never forget her compassionate spirit. May her memory be a blessing, and may love and remembrances sustain her family during this difficult time.
