Florence Fussell Lind died September 16, 2024 at her home in Berkeley after a long illness. She was 98 years old. The daughter of Paul and Wilhma Fussell, Florence grew up in Pasadena, California.
Florence graduated from UC Berkeley in 1947, the same university her father graduated from in 1916. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She met her husband Norman in Berkeley, and they enjoyed over 74 years of marriage. Florence was smart, thoughtful, kind and always gracious. She will be dearly missed by all.
Florence is predeceased by her brothers Paul and Edwin. She is survived by her husband Norman, her children Fred, Julie, Roger, and Emilie, daughters-in-law Leslie and Beth, son-in-law Andrew and grandchildren Max, Adam, Phillip, Naomi, Erika, Zachary, Julien and Allison.
Florence also cherished her nieces, nephews and the rest of her extended family.
There will be a private celebration of Florence's life. In remembrance of Florence, the family requests that any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

I grew up in the neighborhood in Berkeley and Mrs. Lind was like a second mother to me. She took care of us all and was always so thoughtful. Her smile was like a ray of sunshine. We miss her!
