Frank McHugh Obituary

Frank J. McHugh 83, of Alameda died on May 12, 2010. The SF native served in the Navy and received his degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley. After many years with Kaiser Engineers in Oakland, he retired as a VP working on the clean up of the nuclear site in Hanford, WA. Frank's interests included travel, boating, fishing, golf and trying to maintain his health despite the lung disease which claimed his life. He is survived by his wife Marie, sons Blake and Bruce; daughters-in-law Bridget Louie and Debra McHugh; grandchildren Dylan McHugh, Matthew McHugh, Sarah McHugh and David McHugh. Also survived by his sister Mildred Byrne, brother-in-law Thomas Byrne and niece Kerry Seibel. Pre-deceased by his son, Richard McHugh. A memorial will begin at noon on Sat. May 22nd, harborviewalameda.com.

Dear Marie and family, I regret hearing about Frank. Thanks to Blake for informing me. A very kind, generous, and considerate man. He was such a help to your sister my friend Mae. Helping others even though he was suffering from pain. Love, Bunky
