It´s hard to believe that you´ve been gone for so many years now, I miss you so much and think of you often and see you in everything here at the house, the tree you loved , and Mount Diablo that you would look at every day from the patio and many other things, but those are the two main ones, it´s been a rough go these past five years, but I feel you by my side, helping me through it, give my love to our boy, Joey, and uncle Johnny, Cooper, gigolo, Charlie, and let´s not forget our buddy and karma and Callie

I think of you every day Dad , especially when I´m sitting in the backyard and looking out at the view and the big tree that you still love to look at. We all miss you so much and so much has happened since you´ve been gone, we´ve had the wonderful,the bad and they´re extremely ugly. Papa..Last year Lola and I watched the fire works with you from the hospital window...its so hard to believe its been almost 1 year...Even in your state you where still asking about fire works!

Just a note to let you know Im crying because I miss you! I stayed at your house for 4 days and it was so empty to me without you there, but your boys Gigs and Cooper kept me company! To the Scalise Family, I am so sorry for your lost. Time slips by and we get busy with are lives and forget to stop and call the people who have been so special to us. Frank could talk to me and guild me at times when i wouldn't listen to my own dad. Frank was a great life long friend to my father and I can see them now drinking coffee telling storys larger then life and haveing GOD belive every word of it. Never a family party goes by with out someone telling a Frankie and Georgie story. What can I say? It so hard to try and put in words how I feel about you. How wonderful you have made my life, just by being you. I'm so very lucky to have lived with you for 21 years. Waking up to you every morning, seeing you reading the paper and having your coffee out of your "frank"cup. Laying out by the pool with you, swing dancing with you. Bugging you to tell me your stories over and over again. You have always been so much more than a grandfather to me. You helped raise me. I still see your face and hear funny things you used to say to me. When I walk around this house, I see you. I feel such a strong happy presence of you. You loved to live life. You were always happy, and funny. You never complained. You are so strong. Through everything. And i'll always be "your backup". I'll never forget how when my parents would leave, I'd hear you call my name at 1am, asking if I wanted a root beer float with you and Lola.
I can't wait to see you,and hold you again. I miss hugging you, and telling you I love you every second I could.
I know wherever you are, you are singing italian songs, dancing, being happy, and smiling.

Uncle Frank, you are one of my favorite uncles. I remember you coming to visit us for the first time when I was a kid and you making me feel at ease because you were so down to earth and caring. I appreciate you taking the time and sharing with us your interesting stories that you have experienced in your great life. I will always cherish the memories I have of you….remember Costa Rica? My dearest & Favorite Uncle! I want to thank you for being my mentor and my inspiration.
When I think of you, I think of all the good times we had at Coyote point and all of our family gatherings. You and my dad raised one heck of a family and with out your guidance, we would never be where we are today. It seems that we just got to know Frank again, the great man who presided over a beautiful family. We cooked breakfast together at his house and mine, and we made a good team. I'm so glad you got to come up to Seattle to be with us, to celebrate all the Famiglia connections. Thanks to the whole family for loving all my boys: Lenny Ray, Johnny Remo, Joe Kelley, and Brutus. We'll miss Frank so much more than words can express. Maybe we'll cook breakfast when we're all together again.

I think the most important thing I ever learned from knowing Papa is that family is everything. The people who love you for just existing in their lives. Your friends. The people you surround yourself with.
Papa welcomed every person who walked into his home like family, and from that moment on, that was what they were and what they remained.
And though there are many things I admire about Papa-- his sense of humor( joking about how many bodies he could fit in the trunk of his new car), his way of greeting you like you were exactly the person he had been waiting to see all day, his "tell it like it is" attitude-- the thing I admire most about him is the ability he had to make every person he met feel like they belonged.
Always loved, forever missed and never forgotten.
