Frederick Caracciolo Obituary

Frederick T. Caracciolo

Long-time resident of Daly City, Fred passed away peacefully on February 7, 2015 in San Francisco, surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer. Fred was born on March 25, 1941 in San Francisco and grew up in Butchertown on Fairfax Avenue.

Fred attended Mission High School, where he was Senior Class President of the 1958 Spring Class. There he met the love of his life, Rose Marie. Together since high school, they were married in 1962. Fred and Rose were avid world travelers, and most especially enjoyed vacations with their family.
After high school, Fred enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve and also joined Plumber's UA Local 38 where he was a proud union member for 56 years. Fred started Bayline Mechanical with his sons in 1992 where they worked together for over 22 years. Fred, Kevin, Dan and Bridget kept Bayline Mechanical successful through many business cycles. He served as Daly City Parks and Recreation Commissioner, enjoyed dinners as a member of the Monte Cristo Club, and was a proud member of the Olympic Club.

Predeceased by his father Cesare, also a Local 38 plumber, and brother Philip.
Fred is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; mother, Marie; sons Kevin (Bridget), Dan (Carmelita); and grandchildren Matthew, Laura, Katie, Lia, and Paolo. He will remain in our hearts forever. Love and Godspeed, Dad.

Keeping with Fred's wishes, a private family mass was held at St. Cecilia's Church in San Francisco.
Donations in Fred's memory can be made to the St. Mary's Medical Center Foundation, 450 Stanyan Street, San Francisco, CA 94117 or online at www.supportstmaryssf.org. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

I was sorry to hear about Fred's passing. He was a great man. I enjoyed the four years working with him at Park Mechanical. My family extends to you our deepest sympathies.

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
