Gloria Tseng Obituary
Gloria was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 1930. She immigrated to the United States in 1956, to New York City, where she worked as a Spanish translator and editor for Merck. In 1962, with her husband and two small boys, Gloria moved cross-country to San Francisco. She graduated from San Francisco State University in 1976 with her bachelor's degree in business administration. She worked for thirty years for Bank of America in various management positions. She enjoyed traveling, retirement, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 11:00am – 12:00 pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Colma. Donations may be made to San Francisco State University Women's Association.

I will always miss Gloria and her family - she was a bright light in the community who beamed joy to all around her and raised two amazing sons. I will always miss her.

I remember Gloria's laughter and enthusiasm for life, her kindness, beauty and her gift for entertaining. Also the joy we both had for sharing our cultural traditions. That launched a series of gatherings and cookouts with neighbors and friends that enriched us all while my late husband Tim Robinson and I were lucky to rent an apartment for several years in Gloria's beautiful townhouse. I also remember my late husband Tim Robinson playing gospel music weekends on the piano as everyone who gathered sang along. Her two sons, David and Steven are testament to the special love and gifts of the parents, including their late father, Professor Maurice H. Tseng. I will miss her.

We were Gloria's next door neighbors for over 10 years. She was beautiful, kind, generous, and joyful... a friend to the whole neighborhood. We stayed in touch over the years. She was so very special.

So blessed to have known this very special and sweet woman who filled our hearts with such love every time we got together! I cannot think of Gloria in the past tense. To me she will always be my good friend: considerate, loving, cheerful, generous, ready to let me drag her to walks and concerts (even to a few that were held in a converted garage!). Gloria will always live in my heart.
