Our family lived right behind Lloyd and Helen's house on Greenwich Street in San Francisco. I remembered how kind and friendly they were while growing up. My younger brother and sister visited the Napoli Market frequently being it was only a half block away. I remembered buying popsicles and bologna sandwiches there often. Our family moved to Filbert Street for a larger flat in 1977. My dad passed away several years later and I remembered the Quocks attending his memorial service on Green Street. I've been away from the "City" since after high school, but still remember my childhood from memories from time to time.

My favorite memory of Auntie Helen is when Mike & I ran into her at a bowling alley in SSF several years ago. We said "Hi, how are you, Auntie Helen?", and she said "Fine", but seemed distracted....we wanted to talk further, but she was on a mission.... to buy Lotto tickets! She was very focused, so we wished her good luck! Auntie Helen was also a champion Mah Jong player, and could play for hours.
