Al, you wouldn't believe what a year it's been. Denny and I can hardly believe you've been gone that long. We miss you, Carol and all our other friends in Masterworks. If you had to pick a year to escape, 2020 would have been the one. And yet, we all find things to be thankful for. I'm thankful I knew you for so many decades! ♥ Kimmy and Denny

Al, you and Carol have been friends for 48 years. Our paths have crossed in so many ways - primarily in making music, but in other ways as well. Your legacy will never die. Denny and I are proud to have known and sung with you. You'll never be forgotten. This photo is how I like to remember you both.

My favorite memories of Al are seeing he & Carol, the love of his life, asleep in in each other's arms at night. And celebrating holidays, birthdays, and many mealtimes together with him over the years. He left a legacy of good for family and friends built on his faith in Christ, Al wasn't afraid to share his strength with others in his life.

Daddy, I miss you so much. I am forever grateful for all the gifts you've given me. Not just the shoes I had no business owning, but the unconditional love and attention, taking me fishing, bike rides on the back of your bike to get ice cream, sailing in the bay, videotaping my skating, and so very much more.

Great memories of our 4 years together at the U.S. Naval Academy with the Class of 1956 in the 11th Company, the Color Company of 1956, better known as "Club 11"! "Sherb" and I had a memorable sailing experience during "June Week" of 1956 when we shared a sailboat, trying to impress our Mothers, sisters, and girlfriends, with our sailing skills, only to be becalmed on the Severn River and having to be "rescued" by being towed to shore by the local power boats! Were we ever embarrassed! My sympathies to Carol and his family.

Condolences especially to my wonderful friend, Carol, as we remember with celebration the incredible life of joy and service Al offered all of us. I particularly appreciated Al's friendship with my deceased brother, John, also a many years' member of Masterworks.

Al made a difference in so many people's lives. I will miss his sense of humor, his stories, and his quiet strength of character. And as a member of Masterworks Chorale, which he so loved, I will miss singing with him. Rest in peace, Al.
