Higinio G. "Gene" Arao Sr.

Higinio "Gene" G. Arao Sr. At the age of 85 has gone home to be with the Lord, Feb. 17, 2009 at San Francisco General Hospital. Gene was born and raised at Cagayan Valley Philippines Sept. 01, 1923. He finished his bachelors of science in mechanical engineering at Mapua University. He was employed and served the US military bases (adj. gen. record depository headquarters and Clark Air Base) under army and air force exchange services (AAFES) for 37 years as a civilian at the base warehouse, motorpool and service station. He opened his own business Ace motor shop and lastly the May auto glass store. He migrated in US in 1989; he worked at Oakland Airbase until he retired in 2000; he continued to work in security at San Francisco Airport. Gene is survived by his wife of 56 years, Felicisima Espiritu Arao and was a devoted father to June (Tess), Leody (Gold, Ayel, Kay, Steph and Jam), Mae (late Alex, Joy and Abby), Liza, Reescy (Jun and Junius) Froy (Annabelle, Jhoanna, Justin), Faith (Jhon and Dominique), Mariolito (Edna, Ian and Aaron), Eugene (Christina, Jeffrey, Cody, Brady), Amy (Alex and Malayna) A kind and generous man, he will be missed by his family and friends. Friends and family may visit Sunday after 5pm and are invited to the Funeral Service on Monday at 11am at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. Committal Cypress Lawn Cemetery.
