Howard Samuel Obituary
August 6, 1924 - May 26, 2018
Howard R. Samuel, 93, a native San Franciscan passed away peacefully at Mission Hospice House. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from UC Berkeley and served in the Navy during WW II. He was a Co-founder of Wain, Samuel & Co., CPA and practiced over 40 years. He served on the Board of Suicide Prevention & Crisis Center for over 15 years. Howard was an avid tennis player, saltwater fisherman, health club enthusiast and an active member of the Peninsula Golf & Country Club.Survived by his wife Jane of 33 years; daughter Cynthia B. Samuel-Zulch (Lee); grandson Alexander Zulch; step-father of Susan Meyer & Nancy Roston; and Pop to Lauren & Lisa Meyer and Steven, Laura & Sarah Roston. Preceded in death by Marilyn C. Samuel, wife of 36 years; daughter Laurie Samuel and brother Alan Samuel.
A private family service was held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mission Hospice, the Jewish Community Federation or the charity of your choice.
