Hyung-Soon Cha Obituary

Hyung-Soon Cha (1922-2008), resident of San Francisco since 1964, passed away in Manhattan Beach, CA, on August 14, 2008. Born in Manchuria, she was a teacher, writer, wife of Hyung Sang Cha (deceased 1991), and mother of five children: John Hak-Sung Cha, Elizabeth Hak-Hee Cha Park, Theresa Hak-Kyung Cha (deceased 1982), James Hak-Shin Cha, and Bernadette Hak-Eun Cha Silveus. She is survived by nine grandchildren: Joe Cha, Christina Cha, and Jonathan Cha (Kathleen Cha, mother); Genevieve Park (Yong-Chul Park, father); Melissa Cha and Jenna Cha (Gigi Cha, mother); Max Silveus, Giotta Silveus, and Liam Silveus (Pat Silveus, father). A Graveside Service will be held at her final resting place, Skylawn Memorial Park (San Mateo) on August 20 at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception.
