Jack Lowe Obituary

Jack J. Lowe
Jan. 30, 1932 – Dec. 20, 2021
Jack Lowe died due to complications from a stroke. Over the course of his long life, he was consistently a joy to be around, providing a positive outlook and caring ways.
Jack was born in San Francisco and attended local Catholic schools. Jack had an entrepreneurial spirit that began in childhood, shining shoes downtown and selling concessions at ballgames. As a young man he worked at lumber mills in Northern California and briefly served in the army during the Korean War until he was injured in a training exercise. Jack subsequently had a long career in real estate development, with multiple projects in San Francisco and Pacifica. In his later years, he worked as a part time driver for Orindawoods.
Jack loved sports, especially golf, as well as reading books, wine tasting, discussing current events, and sharing stories.
Jack is survived by his wife Toni of Walnut Creek, his son David (Laurie) of Pacifica, stepdaughter April (Brian) of Walnut Creek, and grandsons Anthony Lau and Nick and Anthony O'Dea. Jack is predeceased by his parents Catherine and John Lowe, his older sister Mary Cronin, and younger brothers Bob and Frank Lowe. He is survived by his younger brothers Jim (Diane) and Jerry (Jackie) Lowe, his aunt Bridget Byrne, and extended family.
A memorial is being planned for early spring.

Jack tried to help me financially with my Colfax, Ca. Development back in the `80´s. He took a loss in this venture as I did but was always upbeat. A good man.

Jack truly did love telling his stories. My sister once said that Jack could not possibly have been everywhere and done everything he spoke of. To my sisters chagrin, Jack proved it. From that point onward, my sister dubbed Jack with the nickname of "That Little Leprechaun". He will be deeply missed. We love you, Jack.
