Jack was my uncle, and by far my favorite one, I was real sad when he passed he was always sending us the nicest gifts and now reading that he was into American Indian artifacts the gifts make total sense. One of the last times I remember seeing him was at Marjie´s house when I was 18, he was noticibly intoxicated and ranting and raving about some issue about grandpa near the end of his life that I did not quite understand. But he´s a great guy and wish I could have spent more time with him. Would love to see Deedee and Janice sometime again and maybe get a ping pong tourney with Janice and Marjie although I´m sure I´d be out in the first round.

I am very saddened to hear of Jack's passing. I knew him in school in Omaha and also later in California. He was a good friend and a good man. I shared his interest in history, tennis and football, and I especially remember our trip (when we were in high school) to see Nebraska play Alabama in the 1972 Orange Bowl.

Jack was my next door neighbor from the age of five. He had an infectious sense of humor and an ability to make friends with anyone. I remember the first artifacts he discovered and the joy he found in history. He will be greatly missed.
