Jack Ross Obituary
Jack treasured his family and friends and was adored by all. He had a wonderful, quirky sense of humor. A stockbroker for 36 years, he treated his clients as members of his family. He was a voracious reader who was knowledgeable about many subjects, particularly history, politics and technology. Always an athlete, he was track team captain at Lake View High School and a high jumper through college and the military.
He married high school sweetheart, Barbara Zenner and they moved to the Bay Area. There was never a more in-love and devoted couple during their 52 years of marriage. They traveled the world together, raised children, Lauren (Michael Goldberg) and Daniel Ross and relished in their grandchildren, Zackary and Talia. Jack received a life-saving kidney from his generous (step) sister, Felyce Gilford from Chicago.
He leaves behind his loving brothers, Elliot (Ellen) Ross and Michael and sisters, Karen, Felyce Gilford and Marya (Jay) Zoline. He is loved by his sister- in law, Sandi Zenner and nephews Jason, Jeremy and Eric Gallagher and Iyaka Racines Gallagher. He was predeceased by his parents Nancy Ross and Lou and Millie Ross and Frances and Harold Zenner.
Donations would be appreciated to the UCSF Kidney Transplant Center or Congregation B'nai Tikvah in Walnut Creek, CA or Temple Sinai in Oakland, CA.

Always remembered, and loved by all. I enjoyed our outings to walnut creek to eat hot dogs at the pub,the readings n hours spent in Berkley book store. The mile walks down to get the paper n mail. I miss you, I'll treasure the moments we shared for ever and always. With love , Linda Herron .
