With faith and dignity, Jerome passed away after a brief illness. He was born in a small fishing village, Petrovac Na Moru, Pastrovici, Montenegro to Stevan and Andje Davidovich. His father, an American citizen, died in America when Jerome was two years old. His father's wish for Jerome to move to America, left a lasting impact on his son. By moving to America, his father hoped that his son would have a better life and greater opportunity. In 1954, he met his future wife, Vera, while she was vacationing in Petrovac Na Moru. They married that year and in November of 1955, with their 4 month old son, Stevan, immigrated to San Francisco, without speaking a word of English, to begin their new life. Jerome was soon employed by Pan American World Airways, where he worked until his retirement. Their second son, William, was born shortly thereafter. The family spent many summers traveling back to Yugoslavia, visiting relatives and staying at the family home in Petrovac Na Moru. His love of travel with Vera took them to the USSR, Hawaii, the Caribbean and many other countries throughout the world. Jerome was a faithful parishioner and active member of St. John the Baptist Serbian Orthodox Cathedral since coming to San Francisco. He was an active member of the First Serbian Benevolent Society, the Brotherhood Lodge of Freemasons and the Scottish Rite. He was particularly thrilled to become a Deda (grandfather) and loved being with his grandchildren. When his wife, Vera, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, he devoted his life to her care until her passing in 2011. Jerome was very proud of his heritage and ancestral homeland. As a friend, he was always generous and hospitable. Jerome is survived by his loving and devoted family, sons Stevan (Patty) and Bill (Alicia), brother-in-law Milorad (Teresa) Golubovich, sister in law Brana Golubovich, nieces Snezana Golubovich and Liliana (Branko) Perazich, nephews Paul (Deanne), Srdan (Jelena) and Mladjan Golubovich, grandchildren Jerome (Amy), Stephanie (Scott), Alexander (Shelly), Philip, Nicholas, Liliana and Alexandra Davidovich, great grandchildren Liana, Niko, Luka and Ford, great nieces Elena, Cristina, Bella and Anya, and great nephews Luka and Balsha. Friends are invited to attend the Memorial/Pomen service 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 17 at Duggan's Serra Family Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City and the funeral service 10:30 AM, Friday, August 18 at St. John the Baptist, Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 900 Baker Street, SF with interment immediately following at the Serbian Cemetery in Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. John the Baptist Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, or the charity of your choice.

Dear friends of the FSBS, and the Davidovi family. Zatekia told me about the death of a friend and distinguished member of our society, honored Jefto Davidovic. Sadly, because of the distance I can not attend to the last deceased's funeral as demanded by ancient Montenegrin customs. Receive the expressions of my most sincere condolences.
