Jerrold Nunemann Obituary
Jerry Nunemann passed away peacefully after a long battle with liver cancer on September 5, 2025 at the age of 78. He was a native San Franciscan, graduate of Lincoln HS and San Francisco State. Jerry worked for Testing Engineers for 42 years as a Special Inspector (SI), OE Local 3. Aside from his job, he loved a "good sandwich", all sports, but especially golfing was his true passion. He was known for his quick wit, generous personality, and the enjoyment of good laughs and a good time.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Pati, of over 38 years. Proud father to Phoebe and Max, grandfather to Pearl. Beloved brother-in-law, uncle to many nieces and nephews. The loss of Jerry has left an immense void in all the lives he touched and the memories we shared will forever live in our hearts. In true fashion his only request was to "enjoy every sandwich". Pati and the family would like to express gratitude to Jerry's entire medical team on the Liver group at CPMC Van Ness, especially Dr. Todd Frederick.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday September 19, 2025 from 1 to 4pm at Park Chalet in San Francisco (1000 Great Highway, Ocean Beach, San Francisco). In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in honor of Jerry to CPMC Foundation, Liver Transplant and Research.
