Joan Constantino, the 5th of 12 children of the late Paul J. Constantino and F. Claire Constantino of Burlingame, died suddenly and peacefully at home on Monday, October 20, 2025 at the age of 76.
Joan was a long-time resident of Burlingame and the proud mother of her two adult children, Danielle Davies and Evan (wife, Amanda) Davies of New Zealand. Joan is also survived by three grandchildren, granddaughters, Abacus and Lucia Catan and her grandson, Baby Osian Davies. Her former husband, Robert Davies, resides in Holland, Ohio.
Joan was a graduate of Mercy High School in Burlingame. She received her B.A. from the University of San Francisco in 1971 and her secondary teaching credential from San Francisco State University in 1974. Joan also enjoyed a memorable year abroad, studying French and Literature at the University of Grenoble, She student-taught French and English at SF State.
After college, Joan purchased and partially restored her first home, a beautiful Victorian in Noe Valley, SF.
She lived in San Francisco for 6-years before moving to Burlingame in 1980 to start her family.
Her professional career led her to SkyWest and United Airlines in the customer service department. The airline work allowed her to enjoy traveling with family and friends throughout the world.
Joan will be remembered with love and gratitude by her family and surviving siblings, Doris Osterling of Burlingame, Carl of Oak Run, Catherine (husband, Bryan Gieser) of Sonoma, Phil of San Mateo, John (husband, Juan Cuevas) of Burlingame, Robert (wife, Adriana) of Palo Cedro, and Ken (wife, Debra) of Half Moon Bay, Ca. Joan is also survived by sister-in-law, Susan of Redwood City, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joan will be joined in eternal rest with her late parents, and older brothers, Paul Jr., Tom and David, and younger brother, Marc, who died as an infant in 1956 and many close Aunts, Uncles and her Grandparents.
A private family Celebration of Life will occur on December 11th at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, Ca followed by lunch and reception in San Mateo.
May her memory be a blessing to all that knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite school or library in her name.
