"It is my o-pinion..."
I heard those words many times in the 18 years I knew JoAnn. They usually preceeded some general truism about the world, some specific advice based on her own experience, or some intuition (which was always right).
I am, and will forever be, deeply grateful for JoAnn's o-pinion, as it had a profound and lasting impact on my life.
My life is deeper, more authentic, more honest, and just plain happier as a result of my professional relationship with JoAnn. She challenged my thinking and changed how I view myself and the world.
My deepest sympathy to Randy, Jesse, JoAnn's close friends.
Thank you, JoAnn.

JoAnn was a wonderful force in this world - and a very important force in my life. Although we have lost JoAnn will do not lose what she was or her importance in our lives.
With deepest sympathy for Randy, Jessie and the wonderful people who cared for JoAnn.

Jo Ann was an exceptional individual. She & I were close friends--off & on --through grade school & high school. It made me happy to know she had her son Jesse and her husband Randy. I met them when I briefly saw Jo Ann in San Francisco around 1991. Jesse was constructing a 3-D puzzle of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, doing a stupendous job. It surprised me pleasantly, because my area of specialization was "Russia." What a coincidence, I thought.
Dear Randy & Jesse, please accept my condolences on your loss, which is great I know.
Good-bye, Jo Ann. Thank you for all the good you passed my way -- which was quite a lot! You did great with your life, overcoming lots, but achieving lots and being deeply loved by so many. Farewell, my friend. Rest in peace. Love, Irene

I did not have a lot of time with JoAnn but was lucky enough to share a close relationship with her and be smiled on by her. I miss her more than I can express and am so sad that we did not have more time together. She really was a very special person who touched my soul. Love you JoAnn, Kim Bailey aka Tinkerbell

I am so sorry to hear the tragic news of JoAnn's passing. I was close friends with JoAnn all through grade school, highschool and a few years after that. I always remember JoAnn as an individual, free-thinking spirit. Although I lost touch with JoAnn for many years, I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see her about 10 years ago. I will never forget her and give my condolences to her family and friends who loved her.
