Jack Jordan passed away at the age of 84 in San Francisco. Husband of Pat for 60 years. Father of John (Krisanne), Geri (Greg) Disse, Tim (Gini), and Michael. Grandfather of Gregory, Sean, Shannon, Joseph, and Ryan. Survived by sister Marge (Conn) Hagan and brother Frank (Wendy) and nephews Frank Hagan, Jim, Frank, and Thomas Jordan (Breda).
Jack was a proud lifetime resident of San Francisco. Born to Ireland County Mayo native Francis and Galway native Margaret, Jack grew up in the Mission where he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1952. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and then joined the SFPD where he served for 29 years, retiring as deputy chief in 1989.
Throughout his life, he was a proud member of the San Francisco Irish Pipers Band, Irish Cultural Center (former director), Holy Name Parish, and Pine Grove community.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends in San Francisco and Cobb Mountain.
Friends may visit Tuesday (TODAY) after 4pm and are invited to attend the Rosary Tuesday, August 7th, 7pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 8th, 10am at Holy Name Church, SF. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Holy Name School Capital Campaign (415) 664-8590.

I met and knew Jack while living at Pine Grove Resort in Lake County. He and his wife, Pat were friends that I enjoyed talking to. I didn’t know him long, but I enjoyed his company down at the pool. Rest in Peace my friend!

Eileen and I are on vacation in Donegal and we just learned the sad news of Jacks passing. I speak not only for myself but many others when I say that we will never see the likes of Jack Jordan again! Most of us we not leave an indelible impression on those around us. When I was young I used to admire clever people but the older I get I admire kind people, none kinder than Jack. I know how much Jack was respected by his fellow police officers and rightfully so. As far as I am concerned there are never to many tributes to a great humanitarian like Jack Jordan. May he Rest in Peace. Our sincere condolences to Patsy and family.

I ran into Jack a few weeks ago and as usual we reminisced and shared a few good laughs. I worked with him at the old Central many years ago and he was always one of the good guys and dictated good reports. A true gentleman.
