John Miller Obituary

John Francis Miller John F. Miller was born September 4th, 1922 in Portland OR, to Carleton Earle Miller and Catherine O'Herlihy Miller. John attended Palo Alto High School and Stanford University. After serving as a Navy Pilot in World War II and being decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross, he finished his education at the Harvard Business School. John worked as an investment counselor and a foundation trustee for many years. A wonderful, kind and generous man loved by many, John leaves behind a loving wife Joanne Edwards Miller, three daughters Cynthia, Lisa and Diane, a sister Nancy M. Gonzalez, a brother William E. Miller, three granddaughters, one great-grandson, and many loving friends, business associates and colleagues. At Mr. Miller's request, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers to the family, contributions may be made to the St. Anthony Foundation, 121 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco CA 94102, or to the charity of your choice.

We will miss you. Your wonderful bark and extraordinary generosity were a great combination. You sponsored Joni and me for the Menlo Circus Club years ago and were a super Hualapai campmate. Your surviving family has lost a very special person. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
