John Warnock Obituary
October 31, 1936 - October 17, 2014
At rest at the age of 77, John M. "Jack" Warnock was born to the late Frederick and Dorothy Warnock in San Francisco on October 31, 1936. Beloved husband of Judy Warnock for 58 years. Loving father to John F. (Yvette) Warnock, Kathleen (Kenneth) Baccetti, Pamela (Rob) Tanenbaum, and the late Baby John. Cherished grandfather of Katrina Baccetti, Evan and Connor Warnock, and Noah and Hailey Tanenbaum. Beloved brother to his twin sister Jean Phelps and the late Barbara Eaton. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.John worked for PG&E for 32 years and was a proud board member of Canine Companions for Independence having partnered with 3 loving service dogs over the years. He also quite enjoyed helping friends with personal finances and most of all, he loved his grandchildren dearly.
Friends may visit on Thursday, October 23 after 9AM and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass, also on Thursday, at 10AM at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1490 19th Street at Connecticut, SF; where services will conclude. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's name to St. Teresa of Avila Church or Sts. Peter and Paul Towers of Strength. Online condolences may be offered at www.vmpandco.com

Dear Judy: We are sad that Jack is gone and are thinking of you. Jack was always so nice to us and made us feel welcome as you always have since we moved into the old Warnock family home in 1994. I fondly remember the many great conversations with Jack from the back porch when he would be outside with one of the dogs. He will always be missed and remembered. Love Angie and Megan

Dear Judy,
Our condolences to you and your family on this sad news. John was an excellent mentor and assisted me with finances and got me on the right track when I lost my job due to downsizing. I will always remember his positive outlook on life and the love he had for his family. Our prayers are with you and your family.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of John. Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family on your great loss of a wonderful husband and father. A great man to all who knew him. Our paths crossed happily through his caring work with Lions Project for Canine Companions for Independence, and he helped me greatly at meetings, presenting with his dog Elle. He was a great asset to the wonderful works of Canine companions for Independence and will be missed greatly. With our deepest sympathy on your great loss.
