Jonas David "Jay" Gibbs

GIBBS, Jonas David "Jay" - Passed away on Feb 5, 2005 at the age of 73, in San Mateo. Born on Oct 11, 1931 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Loving husband of Joanne Gibbs for 47 years. Devoted father of Karen McGilley, Cheryl Gibbs and David Gibbs. Cherished grandfather, "Papa" of Katie, Michelle and Laura McGilley, and Reina Taylor. Beloved brother of Lorene Busby of St. Louis, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jay was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant during the Korean Conflict Papa's beautiful presence will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched. He was a remarkable, generous, hard-working man; devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His spirit will live on through those who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Tues, Feb. 22, 2005, 11 am, Church of Good Shepherd, 901 Oceana Blvd., Pacifica.
