I knew Dick and Joyce when they lived in Aptos. Dick was working for the San Francisco Giants as one of their official scorekeepers. My girlfriend Liz and I were invited to their Aptos home on a few occasions to celebrate Joyce´s birthday as well as mine (both in July). Dick was a baseball guy, and Joyce always had a love of opera. One year we had dinner with them in Scottsdale during spring training. I remember after Dick passed away, Joyce left Aptos and moved to (I think SF) and then Santa Rosa. Before she left Aptos, Joyce gave me Dick´s SF Giants jersey that said "O´Connor" on the back. They both knew Willie Mays. Joyce was a soft spoken sweet lady. Rest in Peace sweet lady. Heaven has a new Angel. Sincerely, John Gavrilis (Aptos, Ca)

Joyce was a star at Star of the Valley Parish, always welcoming, interesting and a fashionably dressed lady. We miss her spirit of joy and love, but know she is now with the angels.

I am Joyce Passetti O´Connor´s first cousin. Her mother and my mother were sister. I remember Joyce being very kind to my brother and I. Joyce was 22 years older than me. I do remember Joyce taking me to the ballet when I was only a little girl. The ballet was a magical place for me. Also, I do remember Joyce taking my brother and I out for a ride in her new Fiat which was a convertible sports car. It was great to have my long hair
blowing all around. We were down at Aunt Clara´s and Uncle Dominic´s a lot for dinner. Joyce would come to visit us there. I remember Joyce and her husband, Dick came to my wedding. I really appreciated that. We had lost touch over the years until about two years ago when I contacted her to tell her about another cousin who had passed away. I texted her pictures of our grandson and she seemed to enjoy that. Then because of the business of life, we never connected again. God bless you Joyce. You are with your Mom, Dad and husband in Heaven now and our dear Lord is taking care of all of you. Love, your cousin Elaine (Firpo) Steffens
