Dear Ibarra-Riverasne family,
One of the nicest memories I have,is when I visited my daughter, Amanda, in SF and met Juan and his family. Juan was in the process of making a beautiful silver necklace, that looked like lace. I admired it and upon my departure from my visit, Juan presented me with the necklace as a gift. I cherish that necklace. Juan and his family were very comforting and supportive to my daughter Amanda. How fortunate you all are, to have had Juan in your life. He will be missed by many.

Juan was one of the nicest guys in high school, always a "what's up" with a smile. I hadn't seen Juan since we graduated so long ago, but I did take a look at our yearbook to remember Juan and all the other classmates that have gone before us. Our condolences to the Ibarra-Rivera family. Juan is now resting with our Lord as well as our other classmates from the Prep.

Juan was the best neighbor, a person could ask for. We will always remember his happy smile as he, Terri and Izzy would wave to us and make a funny comment about his day and head into the house. We were lucky to have known him and will always remember his bigger than life personality and his great sense of humor. He will never really be gone for us. He is just out doing his thing. Our deepest sympathy to Terri, Izzy, and his entire family. We will really miss him.

Juan was a true friend and a great guy. I will remember the fun times we had in culinary school, the great times catering together, but most especially the warmth he showed to everyone he knew. He always made me feel as part of the family when I was around his house. I am so glad to hear he found true love and had a daughter, I can just imagine how great a dad he was. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family, Rick, Luis and your folks. I will really miss you Juan.

We will be celebrating your life today. We spent our youth together and through this we helped define ech others character and personality. I owe part of who I am today to you. It has been a long time since I have thought about those great times that shaped us. I will spend my time now celebrating your life and how much those shared moments meant to me.

Love,

Dear Juan and the Ibarra-Riveras-
Juan was one of the kindest and most gracious men I knew. He was my favorite San Francisco roommate, teaching and mentoring me about the in's and out's of relationships, chain mail, jewelry making, life, the wisdom from "Law & Order" and life's other small wisdoms that flowed from his mouth so efforlessly. I was at Bi-Rite Market just last night in the Mission and I saw Sammy, who Juan and I used to cater with. I did not know that Juan had passed, but something in me felt as if I needed to ask Sammy if he had spoken to Juan. I believe that Juan was there sending me a sign to let me know he was not here, but still around. I'm so glad that I called him a few weeks ago to tell him thank you for being such a great friend and support to me as of late. I planned on dropping off some hot sauce for him. I loved Juan and will miss him so, so much.
Love,
Amanda

Sending my love and warmest regards. I am so saddened to hear of Juan's passing. He was always such a presence in the house when I was there with Ricky. It has been many years since I've had the opportunity to spend time with you, but my memories of the family and the love in your home are very fond.
Warmest regards,
Noelle
