Judith O'Brien
Judith Ann O'Brien
July 18, 1943 - September 8, 2021
After a short illness, Judy passed away peacefully in her Eugene Oregon home on September 8, 2021 surrounded by her daughters and granddaughter.

Judy attended Mercy High School in San Francisco, and graduated from California State University at San Francisco, with a degree in Psychology while raising her two daughters.

She is survived by her daughters, Dawn and Nicole, her granddaughter Hannah, her sister Maureen, and nieces, Ana, Marisa, and Cyndi.

Judy was a creative spirit with a beautiful sense of color and form which could be seen in her multimedia art, her home, and her beloved garden.

After a highly successful career in Silicon Valley as a Senior Tech Recruiter, Judy enjoyed her retirement in Oregon cultivating her creative talents, advocating for social justice and the environment, playing card and board games with her many friends and family and doting on her granddaughter Hannah.

Judy loved all animals. But if you knew Judy, you knew she especially loved giraffes. This fantastical creature resonated with her spirit and brought her much joy. The family requests that donations be made to the B. Bryan Preserve Wildlife Foundation, Point Arena, CA which is committed to the preservation of African hoof stock. https://www.bbryanpreserve.com/

I worked with Judy at Sun Microsystems, and remember her fondly. So sad for your loss.
