Julie Leach Obituary

Julie Leach
04/29/1945 - 08/30/2024
Julie Leach passed away on August 30, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband Jim, devoted sons Michael and Jeffrey, brother Walt, his wife Nancy, her niece Renee, her husband Chip and their children Jacob and Tyler, sister in law Cyndee, her husband Randy, their children Ashley and Matthew and her sister in law Dianne and children Stephanie and Steven.
Julie was born in San Francisco and lived her entire life in Belmont and San Carlos. Her family was the most important part of her life and she also enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Julie was an excellent gardener and she created a beautiful home and garden, enjoyed by all. Julie travelled extensively, her most recent trip was to see the gorillas in Africa. Julie cared deeply about animal welfare and the environment and was very generous with her donations. Julie was also instrumental in helping Kainos, a non-profit for people with disabilities, with their fund raising and in acquiring the home where her son Jeff lives with his wonderful roommates.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Alzheimers research.

Julie was a dear friend of my Mom's. I will always remember how kind she was to me and my family. During my Mom's diagnosis with Alzheimer's, she would pick her up and take her to the gym and to the movies. She had a heart of Gold. She will be missed.

I just heard this morning about Julie´s recent passing and I am so saddened. I haven´t seen her in years but she was a student of my dance fitness classes at CSM. I often reference her as during warm ups she would always be in her own thoughts and I would always say " what are you thinking about" and she would reply "what to make for dinner " To this day, I always say to students "it´s time to dance " stop thinking about what to make for dinner" - I will remember her forever for this and many other moments
