JULIO CASTRILLO Obituary

Julio Castrillo Aug 4, 1956 - June 2, 2012 Born in San Francisco to the late Edward and Josephine Castrillo, Julio passed away peacefully in Alameda. Julio was the beloved husband of Pauline Castrillo, proud father of Leo Castrillo, Taleen Qirreh and Tamara Qirreh and grandfather of Sanaiyah Dennis. He is also survived by his siblings May Castrillo, Linda Castrillo, Josephine Mary Castrillo and Edward Alex Castrillo. Julio was a San Francisco police officer for about 10 years and was later an auto mechanics instructor at Encinal High School. He enjoyed Automobiles and NASCAR races and was an avid SF Giants fan. Family and Friends may visit after 11:30am on Friday, June 8, 2012 and are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, also on Friday, at 12:00pm, all at St. Joseph Basilica, 1109 Chestnut St., Alameda, followed by a graveside committal. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pauline Castrillo, C/O Chase Bank, Account # 3039337096.

Julio was an amazing man. He brought a lot of smiles to BayView and to me. His "My my" and a wave could convey a world of thoughts. I'll miss him. My love goes out to the Castrillo family.
