Julio Ramon Salazar
June 10, 1938 - January 8, 2024
Julio R. Salazar, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on January 8, at the age of 85. Born in El Salvador, Julio came to San Francisco at age 25 with the help of his uncle, Reyes Salazar. Married to Ophelia Salazar for 55 years. Julio worked in the hospitality industry for over 50 years, at the Huntington Hotel, L'Etoile restaurant and the Drisco Hotel. His generosity was boundless, helping all those that he met each day. His love of life and humanity was inspirational, as was his work ethic. He was an avid reader and book collector. Julio is survived by wife, Ophelia Salazar; sons, David Tomas Salazar and Julio Jr.; four granddaughters, Fabiola, Paola, Daniella and Sophia; one grandson, Julio Cesar; sisters, Maria Inez Escobar and Rosario Johnson.

Julio was my good friend for a long time , he supported me in several ways , many times he sounded like a older brother , not only to me , he always advised people .
He always be remembered as a very good friend to me and to others too .
He will live in our minds forever ,
Julio , I have no doubts that we will see each other again in another life ,
We love you forever !
