Kaliope Milla Obituary

Kaliope "Kally" Milla, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, at the age of 91. Born to immigrant parents from Greece, Kally was a proud San Francisco native, living her entire life in the city she loved.
She attended Sanchez Elementary School, Everett Junior High School, and Mission High School. Kally married her beloved husband, Jack Milla, and together they raised two sons, Jeffrey and Stephen.
Kally and Jack had a passion for travel, visiting Greece twice and enjoying memorable trips to Las Vegas, where they had the pleasure of seeing Frank Sinatra perform. She was deeply proud of her Greek heritage and a longtime member of the Annunciation Cathedral in San Francisco.
She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Maryann) and Stephen. Kally's grandchildren, Brendon (Monique), Carlyn (Ivan), and Taylor, were a great source of joy; as well as her great-grandchildren, Valentino, Athena, Jordan, Reece, Leona, and Angel. Kally also leaves behind her niece, Ann Marie Avdalos; as well as her nephews, Ken and Michael Duffy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents, Nick and Stella; her sister, Mary; and her dear friend, Oscar Tully.
A viewing and Rosary will be held at Duggan's Serra Mortuary on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the Rosary service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The burial will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Greek American Cemetery, 1148 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94014.

Condolences to the Milla family on Kally's passing. A funny, passionate, welcoming lady who showed class, humility and grace throughout her years. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her and whose lives she touched.

Jeff and Steve, may your mom RIP. She was a wonderful lady. Your mom and dad opened up their home to me. I was able to just stop by for hour or so to just talk. Valuable time spent. Your dad had a tremendous impact on me at an important time of my life. I am forever grateful. Jim Moore
