Karen Wicks Stark, loving mother of Portia Stark, deceased in infancy, and Joshua Andrew Llewellyn Stark, sister of Gail Wicks Taylor, Rolf Wicks and Dane Wicks MD, former spouse of Rodney Stark PhD. BA Oberlin College, Phi Beta Kappa, PhD Psychology UC Berkeley, MS Learning Disabilities UOP. Teacher, Simpatico School 1980-2004, Director of Special Education, Sterne School 2004-2008, Educational Therapist, 1984-2009, Editor of The Educational Therapist 1992-96 .
Born in Ann Arbor, MI lived in various parts of the country and Germany while growing up. Raised her son in San Francisco, passing along her love of all things cultural.
