KIKUE KANZAKI Obituary

Kikue Kanzaki A resilient and feisty 105 yr. old, entered her heavenly home on June 11, 2012. Born in Los Angeles, CA she was sent to Japan at age 8. After completing high school she returned to Seattle, WA at age 17. Her parents arranged a marriage for her shortly after her arrival. Most of her life was spent in the S.F. Bay Area. In 1942 she and her family were evacuated to Topaz, UT. After surviving internment camp she returned to the Bay Area. With her growing family in tow and numerous moves, she finally settled in Berkeley. She is survived by her children Eddie Owada (Irlene), Sam Owada (Miki), May Takashima, Toru Saito (Bessie), Walter Saito (Elsie), Ben Saito, Hajime Kanzaki (Eiko), Haruko Bruce (Niles) and Carl Kanzaki. All the best to Carl for the loss of your mother. I hope you have forgiven me for being the driver when your VW got crunched on the way up to Tahoe back in the late 60's.
