Kim Morgan Obituary

Kim A. Morgan
November 20, 1957 - July 1, 2023
With deep despair, we share that Kim passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 1st in the comfort of her own bed after a fierce fight with brain cancer. An incredible mother, wife, and friend to everyone she met, Kim left this earthly world held in love by her husband, Timothy Morgan, her son Eric Morgan, wife Natalie Morgan, granddaughter Maci Morgan, daughter Kaleigh Morgan and (soon-to-be) son-in-law Peter Ziegler. She was 65 years young. Her bright eyes, contagious laugh, and genuine smile leave a gaping hole in all our hearts.
Born in Pleasanton, CA, Kim grew up cooking, sewing, riding her beloved horse Charlie, and playing golf with her brother, Billy Corbett, mother Emily Corbett, and father Bill Corbett. After accepting the job as Meadow Club's golf professional in 1972, Bill moved the family to San Rafael where Kim has called home the last 50 years. Known for her yellow 1973 Mustang, Kim graduated from San Rafael High in 1975 with many friends she kept close to this day. Kim's athleticism and competitive spirit fostered a love of playing and cheering on all sports. It's rumored her signature saying "BEAUTIFUL" can still be heard after every major play.
Graduating from San Diego State University in 1980 with a Bachelor's in Home Economics, gave Kim the necessary tools to create a home wherever she went. Everyone she met felt "at home" with her, so it was no surprise Kim found her life's passion in real estate sales at Frank Howard Allen. For the next 35 years, she'd grow her community of clients, colleagues, and friends to which many consider her death an immeasurable loss.
Through mutual friends, Kim met the love of her life Tim in 1984 becoming known as "Kim & Tim". Their early days were spent adventuring around Marin, sailing on the bay, skiing in Tahoe, and golfing in Graeagle and Carmel. After tying the knot in 1987, Kim and Tim bought their first home in Tiburon and welcomed their first child Eric in 1988. The San Rafael sunshine brought the family to Glenwood, where their daughter Kaleigh was born in 1991. The woman did it all! Working full-time, creating a loving home, and keeping her family at the forefront. Kim made Halloween costumes stitch-by-stitch, documented every moment with her legendary camera, and perfected her infamous Banana Bread recipe that filled many bellies for decades.
A fixture in her kids' schools, Kim was integral to the social scene, chairing the St. Anselm's Carnival, the Marin Catholic Fashion Show, and the Senior Grad Night to name a few. A mom to many, Kim was proud to keep her home open to her dozens of "kids" with the only rule being "Come Say Hi!". She welcomed everyone with her open heart, generosity, and stocked fridge.
A 30-year member of Meadow Club, Kim's prerequisite for marriage was that Tim learned how to play the game of golf, a trait that she passed on to her kids and one that inspired each family vacation. Although Hawaii held her favorite courses, Kim was so proud to bring her family to Scotland to play the oldest course in the world, St. Andrews, in 2007.
A host by nature, Kim's favorite party was on the Bay gathering friends on the boat for Opening Day, watching the Blue Angels fly and the bursts of 4th of July fireworks. A San Francisco Yacht Club member for 35 years, Kim's favorite pastime was getting her Friday night Cosmo with the girls.
Considered a force, Kim's eye for design, gregarious attitude, and tenacious drive, fueled her success as Marin's top 1% of realtors year after year. Aside from her children's accomplishments, Kim's most meaningful moments were found in helping families of all kinds find their forever homes, an honor she deeply revered.
Kim was loyal, strong, resilient, funny, kind, and never afraid to be herself. A real woman of integrity, the breadth of her impact will never be known and can never be replaced. She is deeply missed. She had to go catch her tee time in heaven, but we know she'll be Forever on the Fairway.
She is survived by her husband Tim Morgan, son Eric Morgan (Natalie Morgan), daughter Kaleigh Morgan (Peter Ziegler), granddaughter Maci Morgan, brother Bill Corbett (Mary Gagliardo), nieces Mackenzie Corbett (Alex Marlantes), Maddy Corbett (Ben Butler), Mariah Corbett (Raul Vera), nephews Billy Corbett (Lauren Ott), Shaun Timmerman (Kristen LoBianco) and brother-in-law Gary Morgan.

Simply put, Kim was one of the nicest, happiest and caring friends I have ever had. She had a unique laugh that I will never forget. Her real estate business thrived because Kim was so smart, knowledgeable, tenacious and professional. I really appreciate the kindness, thoughtfulness and friendship she afforded my family and me. God bless Tim, Eric, Kaleigh and family.
RIP Kim

The world feels a lot less bright without Kim. She was kind, funny, soulful and indefatigable. I respected her greatly, and enjoyed her epic bachelorette parties. She will be dearly missed me -- how lucky we have been to know her as she passed through this life. With deepest Sympathies -- Kelly

I am so sorry to learn of Kim's death. She was so helpful to me when I sold my parents' home and I've always remembered her kindness during that difficult time. My condolences to her family.
