Konstantina Karanasos Obituary
December 15, 1912 – October 31, 2017
Konstantina passed away on October 31, 2017 at the age of 104. She was born in Agia Efthemia, Greece and came to the United States in 1930 when she married her late husband Thomas Karanasos. They lived in Newark, N.J. before coming to San Francisco in 1943. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Karanasos, son Peter Karanasos, brother Thomas, and sisters Georgia, Violetta and Barbara. Konstantina is survived by her daughter Christina (Stephen) Christodulis, grandsons Thomas and Alex Karanasos, granddaughter Katherine Karanasos, and brother George Agapitos.Friends and family may visit at 4:00PM with the Trisagion service to begin at 7:00PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 999 Brotherhood Way, San Francisco. Burial to follow at Greek Orthodox Memorial Park, 1148 El Camino Real, Colma. Donations in Konstantina's name may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
