Grandpa,
This last year was hard to be away from you, and I will miss you so very much. But you blessed me with wonderful memories and stories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. You always brought such fun and laughter to Mike, Ryan and Myself. Your stories and great one-liners will live with me forever. I love you very much!
Love,
Jeff

Dear Helen and Family:
I miss Lew so much; his great smile, his words of wisdom and his all-around genuine character. He was a true original and the neighborhood just isn't the same without him!
Helen: I'm so grateful to have grown up next door and to have known both of you almost my entire life. I already miss coming over to change light bulbs, being frequently tested on my knowledge of the real estate market and your phone calls asking me to move my car out of your driveway.
I wish you much love, comfort and peace in this next phase of your life.

Dear Helen and Family,
After being your next door neighbor for 33 years, I will miss Lew. It was nice to talk with him when he sat outside on the stairs enjoying the afternoon sun and just watching neighbors come and go. I will miss him not being there for the neighborhood and for you.

Grandpa Lew,
You were such a warm-hearted family man, and always had that happy sparkle in your eye when we got together. We will all miss you very much.

Grandpa Lew, as I knew him, was a very funny and loving man. I enjoyed having a grandfather in California when I first moved here. Scott and I enjoyed having Grandpa Lew and Grandma Helen for Thanksgiving for the past 10 years. My daughters were always happy to see their Great-grandfather Lew. We will miss him!

Dear Daddy,
I sure miss talking with you and discussing our daily lives together. It is so heart breaking not to be able to pick up the phone and just talk to you! I miss you so much!!
I did enjoy the dream of you a few weeks ago which showed you relaxing in a lounge chair on a beautiful green lawn with other friends. The dream was reassuring...that you are happy and in a wonderful new place!
I guess I still don't understand why you had to leave all of us. There is a huge void without you here--it's difficult to comprehend. Mom is struggling to carry on without you...
I find myself experiencing life differently now...my life without my dad. I love you daddy!
Love,
Diana

I only knew you for the last 30 years of your long life. You lived it according to your own rules. A long healthy life, a very short illness and passed over without much pain or suffering.
I will remember the light that you shared with all of us. The dinners, old jokes and political insights.
I am glad you were my father-in-law and I will miss that light.
Your son-in-law.

Dad,
I am sad that you left us. I think of you all the time. I know where you are is a better place. It has to be.
Thanks for coming to me in a dream to tell me that all of us are doing a good job thanking care of Mom. It has been very hard for Mom since you have been gone. Her hip needs replacement and she is not as active as before. Help her to have patience with all of us. We are just there to help her.
I love you Dad and wish I could just have one more hug and kiss from you and share one more world event discussion with you. Gosh, I miss that.
Your loving daughter,
LuAnn :-)

When I think of Lew, the first thought is of his wonderful smile. Lew was a special person full of stories and life. He always loved a good time! Mom and Dad & the Crescis loved to sit and laugh for hours. I loved our San Francisco trips seeing the Crescis and being part of the "family". Our visits were very memorable for me. Friendship with the Crescis has been a very important part of my life. I send my sincere condolences and love at the passing of Lew.

THE HENWOODS ARE DEVASTATED BY THE LOSS OF OUR DEAR FRIEND LUIGI AS DAD ALWAYS CALLED HIM. THE CRESCIS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART OF OUR LIVES. I PERSONALLY HAVE SO MANY FOND MEMORIES OF ALL OF US: THE VACATIONS IN TAHOE, PICNICS AT HALF MOON BAY AND OTHERS AND OF COURSE ALL THE GREAT MEALS AND VISITING AT YOUR PLACE ON HIGHLAND. ONE OF MY PERSONAL FAVORITES WAS WHEN YOU TWO CAME UP TO VISIT US IN PORTLAND. I REMEMBER THE FOUR OF YOU PARTYING AND GIGGLING IN THE FOLKS' BACKYARD. ALWAYS SO MUCH HAPPINESS AND FUN WHEN YOU WERE TOGETHER!
DAD IS INCONSOLABLE AND FRAGILE, A REMINDER OF HOW FRAGILE LIFE IN GENERAL IS. I WISH I COULD PUT MY ARMS AROUND ALL OF YOU.
LOVE, LINDA
