Lin Lim Obituary

Lin Sun Lim At peace May 10, 2007 in San Francisco. Born October 6, 1906 in Canton, China. Mrs. Lim arrived in San Francisco in 1938 with husband, Edward Lim. Survived by loving children Ronald, Katherine, Wendy, Betty, Cecilia and Genevieve. Preceded in death by beloved husband Edward; daughter, Doreen; and granddaughter, Danielle. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grand-children, two great-great grandchildren and many cousins and relatives. Mrs. Lim was proud to be a naturalized U.S. citizen, a member of the San Francisco Chinese Baptist Church, and at active member of the Lim Family Benevolent Society. In 1987 she was awarded Mother of the Year by the Chinese Women's Association of America. Mrs. Lim owned and operated a garment factory for over 25 years. Mrs. Lim loved to travel. In 1990 she was a delegate to the World Lim Clansmen Convention in Taipei, Taiwan, and enjoyed a trip to her birthplace in China. She also traveled to Canada, Hawaii, Mexico and cross country to New York. Mrs. Lim lived a long, healthy, active life until her death at age 100. We will miss her dearly and she will always be in our hearts. Memorial Services will be held at Ashley & McMullen, 4200 Geary Blvd. at 6th Ave, SF, CA, on Thursday May 17, 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Services Friday, May 18, 1pm, followed by Burial Service at Olivet Memorial Park, 1601 Hillside Blvd, Colma, CA. Memorial dinner following burial services.
