Lurline Francesconi Obituary

Lurline L. Francesconi
March 14, 1943 - February 11, 2022
Lurline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left the world on February 11th.

She is survived by her husband Roger of 55 years. Her two children Paul (Cassandra) and Lauren. Devoted grandmother to Cesna, Stella, and Luca. She is also survived by her sister Linda Fox (Wendell) and loving aunt to Katie and Christopher (Nina) Fox.

Lurline was born in San Francisco to Fred and Victoria Cooper and grew up in the Marina district. She attended Galileo High School where she met her husband. She worked for Bank of America and then later went to PG&E as an administrative assistant for 10 years until the birth of her first child Paul. After Lauren was born, she returned to work for the San Mateo Union High School District initially as a teaching assistant and moved to Hillsdale High School for the next 28 years as a guidance counselor assistant until her retirement. Working with students brought her much joy and she touched the lives of many students throughout her career with her generous loving spirit. She won over the love and respect of her coworkers as well as the teenagers she worked with.

Lurline was an incredible cook and made sure no one left hungry. She enjoyed traveling, trivia, all things Italian, classic movies, and staying curious. While she loved many things in her life, her family and friends came first, she was completely devoted to all of them.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 1515 Dolan Ave, San Mateo, CA on Friday, February 18th, at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's or your favorite charity.

I remember Lurline with that big big smile, anytime you would see her in the halls of Galileo High School. I remember fondly Bud and Vicky and little sister Linda at the house on Pixley St. in the Marina. Lurline was a beautiful soul and will be missed by all who knew her.
My sincere condolences to the Francesconi Family during this difficult time of sorrow.
