Lynn Bacon Obituary
Lynn Jackson Bacon died on January 23rd at the age of 93. She was born in San Francisco, and was a 60-year resident of Atherton. A life-long artist in many media, she never ceased scanning for the next landscape to paint in watercolor, and new succulent to live in her cactus garden.
The orchestrator and head honcho of decades of family dinners and holiday celebrations, Lynn created magic that gathered the family together. As an only child, she realized her major goal of creating a large family. She was a spitfire aesthete, and loved to share her passion, skills and knowledge with her family, teaching us to paint, cook, garden, and decorate.
Born to Florence Watson, and William Walton Jackson, Lynn is survived by six of her children, Leslie, John, Grant and Tom Bacon, Sue Mccomas, and Peter Bacon; sixteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Two of her sons predeceased her: Will, this past June, and Scott in 1995.
Funeral to be held Friday 1/31 at 11am, Church of the Nativity, Oak Grove Ave, Menlo Park. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Menlo Park.
Rosary to be held Thursday, 1/30, 7pm at Sneider, Sullivan and O'Connell, 977 El Camino Real, San Mateo.

Lynn was a nice lady. We both were artists, about 6 years ago I started painting on rocks, I remember Lynn asking me "do you paint on other media or only rocks?" I thought that was so cute.
When I first met her I thought she was so proper, she held out her hand and said "how do you do?" She was lovely and just beautiful as well (she aged gracefully).
I had 7 kids 6 boys first and finally my daughter. She beat me by 2 kids.
Rest in Peace lovely lady, I enjoyed the few times we got to chat and visit.

Lynn was my Molly, my daughter in law´s, Grandma. On the occasions I met Lynn she always had a beautiful, welcoming smile.
She will be missed.
