Lynn White Obituary

Lynn Alan White
10/27/1929 - 11/19/2024
Lynn Alan White, a resident of San Francisco, California, for 67 years. He was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, in 1929.
He received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1952. A few years later, he moved to San Francisco, where he became a member of the California Bar and practiced law for over six decades.
Lynn was married to his beloved wife, Jeanne, for nearly 50 years. They traveled extensively and enjoyed trips to Europe and Asia, often traveling and visiting with family as well as traveling with organized tours with friends. He is survived by his two children, Jedalyn and Wynn (wife, Yael Zheng) White; his three stepchildren, John (wife, Camellia), Susan (husband, Walter Keenan), and Thomas (wife, Rose Kurtti) Peabody. He leaves his eight amazing grandchildren, Henry, William, Catherine, Jeanne, Sarah, Weston, John, and Caroline. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Murray of Claremore, Oklahoma. Lynn deeply cherished these family members and maintained close and loving relationships with each of them throughout his life.
An active and engaged member of his community, Lynn was a member of the Pacific Union Club, a 50-year member of the California Tennis Club, The Guardsmen, and the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem. He was an enthusiastic tennis player and skier, pursuits that brought him great joy and fostered many lasting friendships.
Lynn will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his profession, and his passion for life. Services will be private, but contributions to St. Anthony's in Lynn White's memory would be greatly appreciated.

I am so sorry to hear about Lynn. Lynn was a part of my family's life in Squaw Valley in 1973. He was always the happiest, most fun and upbeat, plus he was a great skier. I am going to the tennis club today and was hoping I might see him. My condolences to his wife and family. His smile will be remembered forever. Geri Lasky Thayer

I worked for your father when he had his law practice on Russian Hill in the 1980s. He went on to be "my lawyer" for several things later on. He and Jeanne were wonderful, generous people who I remember with great fondness. I'm sorry for your loss. Warm regards, Marge d'Wylde
