Manuela Margues da Sila
Nov 19, 1916 to Sept 1, 2012
Born to Maria Madelna and Luiz Margues da Silva in Shanghai, China 11-19-16. Last survivor of four half siblings: Joaquim Ribeiro, Sara Ribeiro Tavares, Alda Ribeiro and Helder Ribeiro; and her siblings - Fernando Augusto da Silva, Frederico Francisco de Silva, and Fernanda de Silva Gonsalves. Manuela came to the United States in April 1957, and settled in San Francisco. She was a secretary and worked for the Penn Mutual Life and the Continental Insurances Companies until she retired. She was then a residence of the Menorah Park Senior residence for many years. She will be greatly missed by her longtime friend and companion of more than fifty years - Jerry Ferguson, and by her many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews, and all of her many dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass, Saturday, September 8th , 11 AM at Star of the Sea Church, Geary Blvd at 8th Ave. S.F.
