Margaret was born in Ukiah, CA on April 27, 1916 to Franz and Jennie Grothe. She was raised at Blue Rock in Bell Springs, CA. Margaret attended school in Ukiah. She graduated from San Jose State in 1938 with her degree in Elementary Education. Her first teaching job was in King City. She taught at Baywood School in San Mateo and Nesbit School in Belmont. Her career spanned 38 years. Margaret was passionate about the education of children.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
