Marilyn, a beloved spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and teacher passed away peacefully Friday 10 October 2025 due to complications from heart failure.
Marilyn attended Crocker Grammar, Everett Junior High, and was a 1959 graduate of Polytechnic High School in San Francisco. Upon graduating from San Francisco State University, Marilyn completed her Life Teaching Credential and in 1963 she began her career teaching elementary school in Pacifica, California. Her teaching career continued for the following 36 years at the Jefferson Elementary School District in Daly City.
Following her 2002 retirement, Marilyn volunteered within the Millbrae Library and, as a Friends of the Millbrae Library volunteer, she became a Board member with a special interests for book donations and their sales program.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years John Musante; their son Michael, his wife Louise, their children Emilia, Cristina, James and David; sister Laureen and her husband Paul Fregulia; sister-in-law Carole Noonan and her partner Gloria Soliz; beloved nieces Nancy Noonan, Linda Kroll, Kathy Coleman, their families, and many cousins in California. She was predeceased by her parents Anthony Firpo and Yolanda Sambuceti, her nephew William Hayes and her many beloved aunts and uncles.
