Mario Landucci Obituary

Mario Landucci
September 16, 1935 - August 15, 2023
Mario Landucci, a beloved father, grandfather, and a resilient soul, passed away on August 15, 2023, in Millbrae, California, at the age of 87. He peacefully left this world surrounded by those he held dear.
Born to Iacopo and Pia Landucci on September 16, 1935, in Italy, Mario was the youngest of five siblings. His remarkable life journey commenced during the tumultuous years of World War II in a modest family. At the age of 21, with limited knowledge of English and no job awaiting him, Mario embarked on a courageous adventure that led him to Toronto, Canada. Fueled by the desire for a better life, he toiled tirelessly in the trades, driven by an unyielding determination to build a brighter future.
After many years Mario relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he achieved a significant milestone - purchasing his very first home. Over the span of a decade, Canada became his cherished home, a place where he forged enduring memories.
In 1966, Mario Landucci visited the vibrant city of San Francisco, a place that instantly felt like home. Shortly thereafter, he made it his permanent residence. In 1967, Mario married, and a year later, he became a father. While working as a skilled carpenter and general contractor, he relocated to Millbrae, California. Throughout the years, Mario built new friendships and became an extended family member to others who loved him dearly and stood by his side until the very end.
Mario had resilience, loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. He was known as a prankster among his friends. His approachable demeanor and kind heart gave him the admiration and respect of all fortunate enough to know him.
One of Mario's most cherished roles in life was that of a loving grandfather and an extraordinary father. He poured his heart into nurturing his family and friends, offering them love, wisdom, and unwavering support. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of enduring love that will continue to inspire them.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Mario's remarkable life will be held on Friday, October 6th, at 11 am at the Italian Cemetery in Colma, California where he will be put to rest next to his life partner Pia Moro. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather, share stories, and pay their respects to a man whose presence left an indelible mark on countless hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Mario Landucci's honor.
Mario's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all those fortunate enough to have known him. His indomitable spirit, boundless love, and kindness will be cherished and always remembered.

I worked along side Mario for several years on and off with Nibbi Brothers. He was one of my favorite mentors that taught me how to be a good carpenter. He was always in good spirit and had a good attitude towards life. He was a good man and good friend. My Condolences to the family.
