Mark Mitchell Obituary

Mark Means Mitchell

April 9, 1955 - November 23, 2017

Mark Means Mitchell, a resident of Millbrae, CA, died on November 23, 2017, from complications resulting from a brain tumor. He leaves behind his loving wife, Tracy, and her son, Brandon. He is also survived by his mother, Adrienne Hiscox Mitchell, who still resides in the family home in Hillsborough. His father, Bruce Mitchell, predeceased him in December of 2009. Bruce was an alumnus of Stanford University and Stanford Law School, and former general counsel of Utah International.

Mark was born in San Mateo on April 9, 1955. He attended Hillsborough schools and San Mateo High. He volunteered at the San Mateo Public Library and worked at the Bay Club in Redwood Shores. He travelled extensively to numerous countries and was a loyal fan of Stanford Football and season ticket holder for many years.

The Mitchell Family would like to thank the many caregivers who supported him during his diagnosis and treatment, especially UCSF and Mills-Peninsula Hospital, and the many home care personnel who made Mark so comfortable.

Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, December 2nd at Congregational Church of San Mateo, 225 Tilton Ave., San Mateo. Reception to follow.
