Michael Serra died peacefully at home. He is survived by his wife Angie, her children; his sister Pat, her children and grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was a high school geometry teacher and a favorite amongst his students. Upon retiring, he volunteered at 5th grade classes. Michael was also the author of Discovering Geometry. He mentored student teachers and educators at conferences worldwide. His goal was to relieve "math anxiety" through his teaching.
