Michele Freethy Obituary
May 22, 1951 – March 21, 2015
Michele J. Freethy (63) passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and was touched by their overwhelming support during her illness.Michele is survived by her mother, Dorothy Freethy, siblings: Anne Freethy O'Brien (Don), Terry Freethy (Barbara), Melissa Freethy Boyce, Joan Freethy Hockridge, Paul Freethy, and Francie Freethy Perkins (Sean). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Michele was predeceased by her father, Vernon F. Freethy, brother, Kevin Freethy, niece, Sage Williams and sister-in-law, Paula Freethy.
All are invited to a Celebration of Life at Woodlake Association Main Clubhouse, 790 No. Delaware (cross street: Peninsula) San Mateo, CA on Saturday April 18, 2015, 3-5 p.m. Going south on Delaware St (past Safeway shopping complex), enter apartment complex at the second entry on the left adjacent to San Mateo High.
In lieu of flowers, Michele's wish was that donations be sent to: Garrett Smith, M.D., 55 Francisco St., Suite 700, San Francisco, 94133. On memo line; In Memory of Michele Freethy, Papillon Fund, 501c3 (No. 27-2450475) for tax donation purposes.

Michele was one of my best friends ever. I have been looking for her online for years. We worked together at the Seattle Old Spaghetti Factory. She lived with my husband, Mike, and I while she was between homes.
I'll always remember Michele as a fun, happy, funny, smart, and adventurous woman. I wish I had been able to find her.

I was touched by an Angel with her in my life for too short a time in the early 80s. So glad to have known her, and to meet her gracious family in Burlingame, and I remember her with warmth and happiness for the privilege of knowing her.

Dear Dorothy and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Michelle's passing. My cousin Gordon Cummings called from New York and had seen the obit in the newspaper.
I babysat for Michelle when Dorothy and Vernon lived in /san Francisco. My Father George Freethy was the twin brother of Frank Freethy, Vernon's Dad.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Dear Dorothy and family,
Sorry about Michelle's passing. The loss of a son or daughter to cancer is devastating. Sandy and I spent almost two years at UCSF when our oldest daughter, DeArah almost died from cancer. Our prayers are for Michelle and the family, MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
